https://currentscience.info/index.php/jh/article/view/25

This article attempts to emphasize the nature of the Igbo relationship that existed between the colonial power of Britain and other
Nigerians from 1900 to 1960. They live happily in their own environment. It revealed that in many cases, British colonists would
treat the Igbo people inhumanely under the most superficial excuses. However, further research shows that some Igbo people
hold a certain hostile attitude towards Europeans. They believe that their invasion of Africa, including the Igbo countries, is a
”civilization mission.” This article further evaluates and analyzes the influence of colonialism by different scholars. Although
imperialism has its own shortcomings, in summary, Africans, including the Igbo people, also have their own advantages. The
Igbo people further suggest that when it comes to excitement with others, avoidable confrontations should be adopted, because
peaceful methods are better than confrontational methods.
Samuel Obaki
